Frontend Engineer

【About the Role】
As a Frontend Engineer, you will build the user interfaces that make our machine learning products easy to understand, operate, and integrate into real production workflows.
You will develop web-based interfaces and specialized graphical tools for production equipment, review workflows, data visualization, and system operation. Your work will help users interact with complex machine learning systems through clear, responsive, and intuitive experiences.
You will work closely with machine learning engineers, backend engineers, data scientists, deployment teams, and end users to understand how our systems are used and present their capabilities and results in a practical and accessible way.

【Responsibilities】

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain frontend applications and graphical user interfaces using technologies such as React, Vite, and TypeScript.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and machine learning services, presenting system status, operational workflows, model results, and technical information in a clear and useful manner.
• Work with users and cross-functional teams to understand production and review workflows, then translate them into intuitive interfaces that remain responsive, reliable, and usable as product functionality and data complexity grow.
• Build reusable frontend components, maintain consistent interaction patterns, and promote good engineering practices through clean and maintainable code, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and clear technical documentation.

【Key Qualifications】

• Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals, with proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience developing modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript, tooling such as Vite or similar technologies, with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD practices.
• A solid understanding of frontend application architecture, component design, state management, API integration, and user experience principles, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, responsive, and maintainable interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with an interest in developing meaningful ownership of product interfaces and user workflows.

【Preferred, but Not Required】

• Experience building specialized graphical tools for interactive image inspection and annotation workflows.
• Experience presenting complex visualizations, machine learning results, or high-volume technical data, particularly in applications that support production equipment or operational workflows.
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization, including rendering performance, asynchronous data loading, large datasets, and application responsiveness.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks, component libraries, design systems, and build or packaging tools.
• Familiarity with containerized application deployment using technologies such as Docker.
• Basic familiarity with machine learning systems, computer vision, or image-processing workflows.

You do not need to match every preferred qualification. We value strong frontend engineering fundamentals, thoughtful product design, and the ability to understand how users interact with complex technical systems. We are hiring for both mid-level and senior-level engineering positions, and the scope and expectations of the role will be considered based on your experience and seniority during the interview process.
