Frontend Engineer (React.js / TypeScript / Next.js) - Fortune Tower

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer with strong experience in React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, combined with a good understanding of UX/UI design, to develop intuitive, responsive, and high-performance web applications and dashboards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements and user needs into effective user interfaces, developing interactive data visualizations, integrating backend APIs, and ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with data-driven applications and collaborating closely with Backend Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and interactive dashboards using React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js.

• Understand business requirements and user needs, and translate them into intuitive UX/UI designs and functional user interfaces.

• Design user flows, page layouts, navigation, and dashboard components to improve usability and user experience.

• Develop interactive dashboards and data visualization components using chart libraries to present complex data in a clear and meaningful way.

• Integrate RESTful APIs developed by Backend Engineers and ensure accurate and efficient data presentation.

• Implement and manage application state, data fetching, loading states, error handling, and user interactions.

• Develop reusable UI components and maintain a consistent design system across the application.

• Build responsive layouts that provide a consistent experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

• Optimize frontend performance, including rendering efficiency, loading speed, and responsiveness when handling large datasets or complex visualizations.

• Collaborate with Backend Engineers, Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end application functionality.

• Conduct frontend testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

• Continuously improve usability, accessibility, and overall application quality based on user feedback and business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Frontend Development, preferably using React.js and TypeScript. Candidates with equivalent hands-on expertise may also be considered.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Hands-on experience developing web applications using React.js and Next.js.

• Good understanding of UX/UI principles and the ability to design or improve user interfaces based on user needs and business requirements.

• Experience developing dashboards, data-driven applications, or business intelligence interfaces.

• Familiarity with chart libraries such as Recharts, Apache ECharts, Chart.js, or similar tools.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data fetching, application state, and error states.

• Ability to create responsive layouts and reusable components with a focus on usability and maintainability.

• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and best practices for modern web application development.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing dashboards for energy management, manufacturing, IoT, utilities, industrial operations, or production monitoring.

• Experience translating wireframes, prototypes, or design specifications into functional web applications.

• Familiarity with UX/UI design tools such as Figma.

• Experience developing data visualization interfaces for KPIs, operational metrics, trends, alerts, and real-time or near-real-time data.

• Understanding of frontend testing frameworks and tools, such as Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library.

• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative software development practices.

• Understanding of accessibility, design systems, and reusable component libraries.
