# Frontend Engineer (SDE-II) ## Job Summary The Frontend Engineer (Software Development Engineer – II) role focuses on designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications. This position requires strong expertise in frontend technologies and frameworks, with an emphasis on problem-solving and delivering impactful user experiences. The role contributes to building robust frontend architectures and reusable UI components that align with the organization’s goals of innovation and performance. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies. - Design and implement reusable UI components and frontend architecture following best practices. - Integrate frontend applications with backend services via RESTful APIs. - Optimize web applications for maximum speed and cross-browser compatibility. - Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into functional frontend interfaces. - Write and maintain frontend tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress. - Participate in collaborative development workflows using Git. ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on frontend development. - Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. - Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend frameworks/libraries. - Solid understanding of frontend architecture, component-based development, and reusable UI components. - Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API. - Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration. - Strong knowledge of browser fundamentals, DOM manipulation, and web performance optimization. - Experience with responsive design principles and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. - Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress. - Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to implement designs accurately. - Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. ## Preferred Skills - Experience working in startup or product-based technology companies. - Familiarity with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks. - Understanding of web security best practices, including OWASP guidelines, authentication, and authorization protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On (SSO). - Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Knowledge of frontend performance monitoring and debugging tools. - Experience in fintech, lending, or banking technology domains. ##
