About the role
We're looking for a Frontend Intern to join our team and contribute to a new AI-powered scientific platform. The product combines AI agents, high-performance computing, and modern web technologies to support research and complex workflows.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and collaborate with product and design teams, gaining hands-on experience building modern web interfaces and learning how production-level UX features are developed.

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 1–3 pet projects using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or related web technologies
  • Basic hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Some experience building web applications with React through academic, personal, or project work
  • Interest in building user-friendly, responsive, and accessible web interfaces
  • Basic understanding of Git and working with code repositories
  • Good English proficiency and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in an international team
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with technical and non-technical teammates
  • Motivation to learn and grow as a software engineer
Nice to have
  • Experience with Playwright or other automated UI testing tools
  • Basic understanding of HTTP and web requests
  • Familiarity with accessibility or WCAG principles
  • Basic knowledge of .NET and C#
  • Experience with VS Code and Git-based workflows
Responsibilities
  • Build and improve web UX features for a new AI-powered scientific platform alongside experienced engineers
  • Implement responsive and accessible UI components based on product and UX requirements
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to understand requirements and find practical solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews with guidance from the engineering team
  • Contribute to automated UI testing for key user journeys
  • Participate in regular demos and team discussions
  • Learn and develop your software engineering skills through hands-on work on a real-world product
Availability expectations
  • Remote, full-time engagement
  • Daily availability with overlap until 12 PM PST
