Frontend Software Engineer

JOIN OUR TEAM

BetWarrior is a next-generation digital gaming company with a bold mission: to redefine the way people experience sports betting and casino entertainment across Latin America.

With a dynamic and diverse team, deep market insights, and cutting-edge technology, we're creating an experience that is personalized, responsible, and always player-first.

Great people, bold ideas, and a sharp focus on user experience set us apart.

Purpose

We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer with an analytical mindset and a product-oriented perspective to join our multidisciplinary teams. At BetWarrior, we are evolving toward a Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and Given-When-Then / Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) model.

We are not simply looking for a developer who turns designs into code, but rather an engineer who takes end-to-end ownership of the problem: from refining and technically specifying requirements (state diagrams, API contracts, Markdown/Gherkin specs) to delivering robust and scalable solutions.

In this role, you'll

  • Lead technical analysis based on initial Product/UX Acceptance Criteria. Define sequence/state diagrams, API contracts, and write functional specifications (MD/Gherkin) before writing code.
  • Model complex state flows and design resilient interface architectures capable of operating in high-traffic, low-latency environments.
  • Work closely with Product and UX teams in small, autonomous squads, acting as the technical bridge between business ideas and viable architectures.
  • Translate business scenarios into clear acceptance criteria and well-structured system behaviors, actively collaborating with the Automation QA team.
  • Design components and abstractions with long-term maintainability in mind, anticipating edge cases, critical bugs, and bottlenecks

What we look for in an exceptional candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, providing the foundation needed to have worked through the level of complexity required for problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing critical state flows in web applications or concurrent platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation prior to development (OpenAPI/Swagger specs, UML/sequence diagrams, Markdown technical specs).
  • Familiarity with defining business-oriented scenarios using Given-When-Then / Gherkin.
  • Strong foundations in computer science or software engineering (design patterns, data structures, browser performance), beyond narrow expertise in a particular library.
  • Experience or working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, UI libraries/frameworks such as React, and Node.js environments.

Bonus points if you also have

  • Experience working on high-traffic, high-concurrency, or real-time data platforms.
  • Experience going through complex production incidents or post-mortems that have shaped your approach to preventing errors through clear specifications.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture or real-time API technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)

How we do things

BetWarrior is a company in expansion. The team is fast-moving, collaborative, and demanding — with high standards for quality and a genuine commitment to building something that lasts. We are not looking for someone to fill a seat. We are looking for people who want to grow with the company, take ownership of their work, and be part of building a regional team that operates at a high level across multiple markets.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to join at a stage where your contribution is visible, your growth is real, and the path forward is defined by what you deliver — not by time in role.

We expect every team member to live our values

Accountability & Ownership – Take charge, own your craft

Reliability – Deliver with quality and consistency

Teamwork – Collaborate, challenge, and grow together

Winner Spirit – Compete with purpose and grit

Wellbeing – Build a career that energizes you

Curiosity & Innovation – Keep questioning. Keep improving
