Overview

We are seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role focuses on building and maintaining modern web applications and user experiences in a cloud environment while integrating with a legacy platform that serves as the system of record.

The ideal candidate is strong in modern JavaScript/TypeScript development and comfortable working in Azure-based environments, with an emphasis on building scalable, user-friendly applications that consume backend APIs and integrate with enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless data flow between modern applications and legacy systems.
• Work with authentication and authorization frameworks to support secure application access.
• Participate in cloud-native deployments and application delivery within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes through Azure DevOps.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using observability and monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor.
• Contribute to frontend engineering best practices, code quality standards, component reusability, and application performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript development.
• Hands-on experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience building responsive, cross-browser, and mobile-friendly web applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based application development.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with legacy systems, including authentication and data synchronization considerations.
• Experience working with modern frontend tooling and package management ecosystems.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend development standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in hybrid environments that combine legacy platforms and modern cloud applications.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and release management.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, and reusable UI architectures.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor).
• Practical understanding of frontend performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI designers and product teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or similar.
• Experience with automated frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures or large-scale enterprise web applications.
• Exposure to containerized application environments and modern deployment practices.
