Frontend Web Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Frontend Web Developer to join their innovative team in Stellenbosch . You will be responsible for translating UI/UX designs into functional, responsive, and engaging web experiences. This role requires a strong command of modern frontend technologies and a keen eye for detail to ensure seamless user interfaces across all devices. You will collaborate closely with designers and backend developers to build and maintain high-quality web applications, contributing to a positive user experience and driving engagement with our digital platforms, all within a creative and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, production-ready code.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and team knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer with a strong portfolio of web projects.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with at least one major JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
