Position Overview
The Frozen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Frozen Department to ensure excellent product availability, quality, merchandising, and customer service. This role supports day-to-day operations, drives sales performance, and leads team execution while maintaining food safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Maintain proper stock levels to ensure shelves and freezers are full, faced, and sales-ready at all times
  • Execute efficient ordering, receiving, and inventory control processes
  • Monitor shrink and implement corrective actions to minimize loss
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and promotional execution
Merchandising & Sales
  • Set and maintain attractive, well-organized frozen displays that drive sales
  • Execute ad plans, seasonal features, and corporate merchandising initiatives
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust displays or orders to meet targets
  • Ensure proper rotation (FIFO) and code date integrity
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain proper freezer temperatures and ensure logs are accurate and up to date
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company compliance standards
  • Ensure department meets health and safety regulations at all times
Customer Service
  • Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable service to customers
  • Assist customers with product selection and special requests
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise, train, and coach Frozen Department associates
  • Delegate tasks and ensure completion of daily workload
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management as needed
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
  • Previous grocery or frozen department experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold environment
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Basic understanding of inventory and merchandising practices
Working Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to freezer temperatures
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
