What your evenings look like
Greeting residents with a warm "good afternoon" and checking in on how their day went
Helping with dinner, evening routines, and getting settled for bed, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care
Getting to know each resident's care plan so the care you give feels personal
Responding to call lights and requests for help quickly and calmly
Noticing changes in residents and letting your supervisor know
Keeping clear notes so the next shift knows exactly what's going on
Joining in on evening activities and helping keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and comfortable
What you'll need
18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of healthcare or senior care experience
CPR and First Aid certification
Dementia training
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check, health screening, and drug screen

About the roleThe Resident Assistant provides direct care and support to residents under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, Supervisor-in-Charge, and/or licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
Supporting meals and snacks, including serving in the dining room and clearing tables
Responding promptly to emergency call systems
Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in residents' condition
Maintaining care documentation in line with state regulations and Allegro Living policies
Following safety, sanitation, infection control, residents' rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
Assisting with resident transportation when needed (valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and insurability may be required)
Helping with light cleaning and laundry in resident rooms and common areas
Attending required meetings and in-service trainings
Communicating professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors
Other related duties as assigned
Certification and licensure requirements vary by state; CNA certification may be required in some states.
