Responsibilities

Operations Management:
  • Interfacing between the infield operational personnel and TRACERCO to ensure the timely supply of materials and resolution of technical and quality issues.
  • Audit of ongoing programmes to ensure operating procedures are adhered, our technology is used properly, identify problems before they escalate, implement improvements and retrain external staff.
  • Manage relationship between TRACERCO and entity responsible for day-to-day running of the fuel marking programme.
  • Promote the ongoing programme to the customer to demonstrate value and revenue recovery to ensure renewal of contract at the end of the term.

Project Delivery:
  • Interacting with R&D and Software department to ensure markers, instruments and software are tailored to the individual programmes and will best fit customer requirements.
  • Surveying customers’ sites to better understand the physical layout of facilities enabling programmes to be customised to cause minimal disruption to operations.
  • Writing and implementing procedures for the ongoing running of the programme.
  • Direct manufacturing and logistics section to deliver material and instrument required for programme initialisation.
  • Obtaining material costs and collaboration with suppliers.
  • Supervising the outfitting of laboratories and mobile test facilities where applicable.
  • Implementation of fuel marking programmes in the field.
  • Train internal and external staff in delivery of marking programmes.

  • Manage operations team in ensuring adequate stock and timely delivery of products.
  • Liaise and coordinate with vendors operational and product forecasting requirements.

Technical Sales Support:
  • Work with the Business Unit Director identify and research new fuel marking prospects to grow the fuel marking business.
  • Maintain relations with delivery partners to ensure effective, coordinated marketing and deployment of profitable fuel marking programmes.
  • Support sales and lead technical presentations and demonstrations of technology to potential and existing customers.
  • Developing cost and revenue models appropriate to programmes and negotiate price with in-country partner when necessary.
  • Champion new opportunities in Biofuel, SAF and other emerging fuel markets and the application of existing and new technology
  • Creating reports on programme implementation in new jurisdictions
  • Collaborating with marketing team to increase Fuel Security awareness using different marketing tools

Product Development
  • Provide direction to R&D and software department to design new markers, instruments and software, and champion these innovations to ensure that our offering is at the cutting edge in the market.
  • Liaise between stakeholders and R&D

Scope
  • Collaboration with co-workers in the fuel marking team to ensure that all aspects of the role can be fulfilled if one of the team is not present due to offsite commitments.
  • Mentoring and advising junior, non-reporting R&D, software and logistics staff to ensure that the product they deliver is fit for purpose and ready for deployment.
  • Close liaison with customers, including technical stakeholders, decision makers, and management to promote the sale and implementation of fully managed fuel marking programmes across the market.

  • Promote the sale of fuel security programmes across the market.
  • Introduce the concept of fuel security and the benefits that such a programme can provide to customers, which include governmental, senior commercial position or technical advisory body. Guide them though the best solution to address the problem they are encountering with the eventual aim of gaining a contract.
  • Liaise with Tracerco executives to ensure that fuel security operations is properly resourced and prioritised to ensure that the product(s) can be delivered in line with the customers’ current and future requirements.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the fuel marking industry and fostering of contacts to allow business development.

Other considerations
  • International travel to support sales and operations, approximately 30% of the time.
  • In many of the locations where programmes will be implemented,local climate needs to be taken into consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing manufacturing and product delivery operations.
  • 3+ years in fuel, energy, chemical or related industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience in customer service, both B2B and B2G.
  • Understanding of fuel supply chains, distribution and storage.
  • Understanding of fuel solvents, renewable fuels, and/or biofuels.
  • Experience with CRM systems and project management tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to prepare technical presentations.
