Fujitsu - Senior Quantum Computing Researcher - Python

Overview :

We are seeking talented researchers to join our Quantum Technology R&D team at Fujitsu. The researcher carries out original research in the field of Quantum Technology according to Fujitsu's Quantum strategy.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct novel research activities in the field of quantum computing

- Produce patents and technical reports on the proposed approaches through detailed theoretical and numerical analysis

- Understand the impact of the research with respect to the development roadmaps of fault-tolerant quantum computation

- Test novel ideas using quantum simulators or real-quantum hardware as applicable

- Participate in developing relevant quantum software libraries as required

- Build and participate in team projects and team deliverables with potential business outcomes

- Publish research work in top-journals and international conferences

- Stay on top of current research literature and advancements in related areas

- Present work and progress to senior leadership

- Give technical talks on recent, relevant developments as part of research activities

- Participate in industry-academia collaborative research

Required Skills :

- PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field with expertise in any subfield of quantum computing research, or applications (e.g. : quantum chemistry, materials science)

- Strong track record of publications

- Familiarity with latest techniques in quantum computing

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

- Effective communication skills for both technical and semi-technical presentations

- Ability to take ownership of work, effective documentation/organization/progress tracking ability

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with high-performance computing

- Experience in developing or using python code

- Experience with open-source quantum simulators, Git, code review, documentation
