Full-Reg Optometrist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform refractions and prescribe glasses and contact lenses.
• Operate ophthalmic diagnostic and investigation equipment (training provided).
• Conduct clinical evaluations of patients.
• Assist doctors during consultations and clinic operations.
• Pre-operation and post-operation counseling for patients, including financial counseling.
• Handle front-counter duties, including registration, dispensing medications, collecting payments, and appointment scheduling.
• Educate patients about vision care, optical aids, and maintaining eye health.
• Address patient inquiries and provide exceptional service.
• Ensure equipment is in good condition and maintain accurate medical records.
• Perform general administrative duties related to submission and logistics workflows.

Requirements

• Fully Registered (Full-Reg) with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) is preferred.
• Diploma or Degree in Optometry.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate, friendly, patient, and cheerful disposition.
