Full Stack AI Developer - Global Investment Bank - Hong Kong

Our client, a global investment bank, is actively seeking a Full Stack AI Developer to design and build secure, scalable AI-powered applications. You will work across the full development lifecycle, partnering with business stakeholders, product teams, data specialists, architects, and control functions to turn use cases into production-ready solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering skills with hands-on experience across Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Foundry, and Microsoft Copilot technologies. Experience delivering solutions in a regulated financial-services environment is highly valued, though not mandatory.

The role:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end AI applications, from user interface through backend services and cloud deployment.
• Build and integrate solutions using Microsoft Azure services and Azure AI Foundry, including model, prompt, agent, and evaluation workflows.
• Develop applications and productivity solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related Microsoft 365 integrations, as appropriate.
• Integrate large language models and AI services with internal APIs, enterprise data sources, and business workflows.
• Build secure APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and responsive user interfaces using suitable modern frameworks and languages.
• Apply best practices for prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding, tool use, and evaluation.
• Implement identity, access control, data protection, logging, and monitoring in line with the bank’s security and governance requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to assess use cases, clarify requirements, and deliver solutions that are useful, maintainable, and fit for purpose.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and production support.
• Monitor application quality, performance, reliability, and AI output; investigate issues and improve solutions over time.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and other control teams to support responsible AI adoption.

What you offer:

• 3+ years of relevant commercial experience
• Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer, building and supporting production applications across frontend and backend.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.
• Practical experience with Azure AI Foundry, including building, testing, evaluating, or deploying generative AI applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot technologies, such as Copilot Studio or Microsoft 365 Copilot integrations.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with databases, enterprise data sources, and authentication services.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Understanding of generative AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and model evaluation.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and application monitoring.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
