Full-Stack Dev (L5) + DevOps/SRE (Dual Role)

Open 59d

We are looking for an L5-level fullstack engineer with strong DevOps/SRE ownership. In this dual role 50/50 role, we’ll expect you to:

  • Own complex product features from concept through production, shaping architecture, implementing backend services in Go, and building responsive UI flows with React/TypeScript.
  • Design and evolve data models, APIs, and AI-assisted reporting tools, ensuring reliability, security, and usability for investigators in the field.
  • Work in an AWS-native, event-driven architecture using infrastructure-as-code and modern cloud primitives to scale systems while meeting stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • Own services in production: monitor, debug, and improve reliability, latency, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for repeatable, safe releases.
  • Collaborate on architecture decisions spanning cloud infrastructure and AI-driven user experiences.
  • Contribute to observability (logging/metrics/tracing), alerting, and incident response playbooks.
  • Improve developer experience through tooling, test strategy, and operational best practices.
  • Partner with a fast-moving team to translate requirements into measurable outcomes, with strong ownership and experimentation.

We're looking for engineers at a Senior (L5) to Staff (L6) level equivalent to FAANG standards. In particular, we’re seeking a senior dual-role Full-Stack + DevOps/SRE engineer who can deliver and operate production-grade software end-to-end.

For this remote position, you should have demonstrable experience shipping full-stack web applications in production environments while also building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and operational systems that support them.

Strong candidates will have fluency with Go, React, TypeScript, Playwright, GitHub Workflows, AWS-based architectures, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and modern observability tooling, along with a proven track record of taking ownership of systems from design through deployment and long-term operational support.

You should have 2–3 years of experience building and operating AWS serverless architectures in production environments, including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora Serverless, EventBridge, and related AWS-native tooling. Experience with Terraform in AWS environments is required, as is familiarity with deployment safeguards, release management workflows, monitoring and error-tracking platforms such as Sentry and CloudWatch, and operational best practices for reliability and incident response.

In your application, specify your experience with Go, React, TypeScript, Playwright, GitHub Workflows, AWS serverless infrastructure, Terraform, CI/CD systems, monitoring/observability platforms, and any experience supporting production operations, deployment reliability, or infrastructure automation.

  • Opportunity to build mission-critical software that positively impacts public safety teams, enhanced with cutting-edge AI capabilities.
  • Work with a dedicated, fast-moving team utilizing the latest cloud, infrastructure, and AI-driven UI technologies.
  • Thrive in a remote-first culture that emphasizes speed, ownership, innovation, and experimentation.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking company at the forefront of AI and cloud-native technology integration for essential real-world applications.
