Full Stack Developer

Summary

Builds and polishes React/Next.js interfaces for an AI-platform that embeds virtual workers into business workflows, with full-stack ownership of features using TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

About the project:

Our client builds an AI platform where virtual workers handle real work alongside human teams. We help companies delegate, manage, and scale work through AI-powered workers embedded in real business workflows.

We are looking for a Full stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to build and improve the product companies use to hire, manage, and collaborate with AI workers. This role is approximately 70% front-end and 30% back-end. You will spend most of your time building polished React / Next.js product experiences, while also being comfortable working across APIs, data models, integrations, and backend services when a feature requires it.

You will work closely with design, product, and engineering to take features from idea to production. This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who enjoys owning complete user-facing features rather than working within a narrow technical layer. You should be able to understand an existing product and codebase quickly, work independently on well-defined problems, and contribute with limited onboarding.

Cooperation: long-term collaboration opportunity.
Stage: new.
English: Upper-intermediate+.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience building production web applications.
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with a modern React framework, ideally Next.js / App Router.
  • Good knowledge of Tailwind CSS and component-driven UI development such as shadcn/ui or similar.
  • Strong understanding of frontend state management, data fetching, and API integration.
  • Ability to implement designs accurately and pay attention to interaction details, responsive behavior, and edge cases.
  • Experience building real-world SaaS or B2B product interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript on the backend.
  • Experience building or modifying REST APIs.
  • Basic-to-solid experience with PostgreSQL and an ORM such as Prisma.
  • Comfortable making backend changes required to complete a product feature independently.
  • Experience working with AI coding tools — Claude Code is required.
  • Ability to understand an unfamiliar codebase and start contributing quickly.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving remote startup environment.
  • Good collaboration skills with designers, product managers, and other engineers.

You do not need to be a back-end specialist. We are looking for someone whose strongest area is front-end development but who is comfortable crossing the stack and owning a feature through to production.

Nice to have:

  • Real-time UI experience with SSE, WebSockets, streaming, or chat interfaces.
  • Experience with design systems, design tokens, theming, and light/dark mode.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as Recharts.
  • Experience with automated testing, including Playwright, end-to-end testing, or unit testing.
  • Experience with background jobs, Redis, BullMQ, or similar tools.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with authentication, permissions, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
  • Experience with messaging, email, voice, or communication integrations.
  • Familiarity with Docker and production deployments.
  • Experience with AI, chat, agent-based, or workflow automation products.
  • Familiarity with vector search or pgvector.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and ship product features end-to-end using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Turn product and design requirements into polished, responsive, production-ready interfaces.
  • Build complex B2B workflows, dashboards, forms, chat interfaces, and data-heavy product experiences.
  • Implement real-time interfaces including streaming responses, live updates, and conversational experiences.
  • Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and handle loading, error, empty, and success states cleanly.
  • Build and extend backend APIs needed to support product features.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and application data models, including straightforward schema changes and migrations.
  • Implement integrations with third-party APIs and webhooks.
  • Contribute to authentication, permissions, and multi-tenant product functionality.
  • Work with background jobs and asynchronous processes when required by product features.
  • Contribute to our shared component library, design system, and frontend standards.
  • Use AI development tools, including Claude Code, to work faster while maintaining code quality.
  • Write maintainable, type-safe, well-structured code across the stack.
  • Test your work carefully and participate in code reviews.
Benefits from 8allocate:
  • Team & Culture: Team events, offsites, and a culture that keeps people connected.
