This role involves deploying and maintaining services on AWS, writing infrastructure-as-code, debugging and extending backend services, building CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to frontend work on web applications.
Key responsibilities
Deploy and maintain services on AWS (ECS/Fargate, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, ElastiCache, S3)
Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
Debug and extend custom NestJS backend services
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines / CodeDeploy)
Contribute to frontend work on Speckle-integrated web applications
Manage Docker image builds, container health, and log-based debugging
About you
4-6 years of backend or full-stack development experience
Solid understanding of Docker and Linux environments
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
Ability to read logs, trace failures, and debug unfamiliar codebases
Basic Terraform knowledge or demonstrable ability to pick it up quickly
Prior experience with Speckle or BIM/AEC tooling (nice to have)
Familiarity with ECS/Fargate deployment patterns (nice to have)
Familiarity with AI tooling, RAG, MCP frameworks (nice to have)
