What you’ll do
- Lead design and delivery of full-stack product features, from discovery through production.
- Build accessible, responsive interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Develop APIs and backend services, with a focus on correctness, maintainability, and clear contracts.
- Model complex business workflows and data in ways that are understandable and auditable.
- Partner with product and design to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and make practical trade-offs.
- Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and security.
- Review code, mentor engineers, and help establish engineering practices that support a growing team.
- Investigate production issues and follow through on durable fixes.
What you’ll bring
- 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial full-stack product development.
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
- Experience building backend APIs and services in Python or a similar language.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience designing reliable workflows for complex business rules or data-heavy applications.
- A track record of taking features from ambiguous requirements to production.
- Strong testing, debugging, and code review habits.
- Clear communication and the ability to work effectively across product and engineering.
Helpful experience
- Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and cloud-hosted applications.
- Data imports, document workflows, background jobs, or audit trails.
- Accessibility, application security, and observability practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical work across a team.
