The Role

• As we continue to expand our development team in Ireland, we are looking for a talented C# .NET Full Stack Developer to join our international software engineering organisation.
• As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing mission-critical applications that support modern fare collection, payment processing and customer administration systems for public transport operators around the world.
• Working within an international Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with development teams in Germany, the United States and Ireland to deliver innovative, scalable and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using C# and .NET technologies
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Develop and enhance software modules for:
  1. Fare management systems
  2. Payment transaction processing
  3. Customer administration platforms
• Build and maintain modern web applications using Angular and related frontend technologies
• Integrate external systems, web portals and online payment solutions, including:
  1. Smart card technologies
  2. Credit card payment platforms
  3. Mobile payment solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
• Develop cloud-native applications and services within Microsoft Azure environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and software delivery best practices
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Support continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing and technical excellence

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Relevant experience in object-oriented software development
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  1. C#
  2. .NET Framework and/or .NET 8+
  3. RESTful APIs
  4. SQL and relational databases
• Experience developing modern frontend applications using Angular
• Understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Professional level written and spoken English

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Azure cloud development experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with payment systems, financial transaction processing or ticketing solutions
• Azure DevOps, Git and automated testing experience
• Additional European language skills
