Role Description
We are looking for a software developer to join our development team and help build our next-generation marketplace platform. Working closely with the Technical Lead, you will design, build, test, and ship features across web, mobile, and backend systems. Over time, you will also contribute to AI solutions, fintech applications, and other digital products on the company's technology roadmap. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning features from idea to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features for the marketplace platform: e-commerce, classified listings, services, and auctions, including real-time bidding, chat, notifications, and activity feeds
- Develop responsive web applications and contribute to iOS and Android apps, including push notifications, deep linking, and authentication
- Build Arabic/English interfaces with full RTL/LTR support
- Implement role-based access control for users, sellers, businesses, and admins
- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS and WhatsApp, email, maps, KYC verification, social login, shipping, and analytics
- Help build AI-powered features using LLM APIs, embeddings, and vector databases
- Write clean, maintainable code, take part in code reviews, and follow team coding standards
- Participate in sprint planning, estimates, and technical discussions
- Support deployments, debug production issues, and help keep systems reliable and secure
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional software development experience (full stack preferred)
- Experience building and maintaining production applications
- Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services
- Familiarity with relational databases and writing efficient queries
- Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, payments, or fintech is an advantage
- Exposure to AI/LLM integration is an advantage
- Mobile development experience is a plus.
- Good communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative team
- Arabic language skills are an advantage
Technical Skills
- Backend: Node.js, NestJS, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets/Socket.IO, authentication and authorization.
- Databases & Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Redis, caching, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, basic AWS familiarity
- Testing: unit, integration and E2E testing, debugging, and code review practices
