Full Stack Developer
Summary
Hands-on full-stack developer building and supporting modern digital services across the whole software lifecycle: TypeScript/React/Next.js front ends, C#/.NET back ends and APIs, hosted on Microsoft Azure with CI/CD, automated testing and agile delivery. Onsite in Lewisham, South East London.
Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years of professional experience developing full-stack web applications and delivering software into production.
- Strong practical experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React and Next.js, or strong React experience with a willingness to develop Next.js skills.
- Good practical experience with C# and .NET, including object-oriented design and web API development.
- Experience working with relational databases and data access technologies such as Entity Framework Core.
- Experience developing or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure, using services such as App Service, Functions, Azure SQL, or similar.
- A good understanding of Git, CI/CD, automated testing, application security, and accessibility.
- Experience working within modern software development and delivery practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of work through to production.
- The confidence to ask for support when needed and collaborate effectively with others.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting and modernising live services, including diagnosing and resolving production issues, is advantageous.
- Experience working in a regulated, public-sector, or similarly controlled environment is advantageous.
- Experience with Azure monitoring and observability is advantageous.
- Experience with messaging and API management services is advantageous.
- Experience with container-based application hosting is advantageous.
- Design, develop, and maintain software across the full application stack, including front-end components, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data access.
- Develop secure, accessible, and responsive user interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Develop secure and maintainable APIs and backend services using C# and .NET.
- Deploy, operate, and support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Work with cloud services, databases, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Write clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Use monitoring and logging to understand application health and support live services.
- Participate in agile delivery activities including planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and communicate delivery risks and technical issues at an early stage.
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows.
- Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues to understand requirements and develop practical solutions.
