About the Role
Our client seeks a versatile Full Stack Developer to contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of their rapidly growing e-commerce platform based in George. You will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, working on both front-end user interfaces and back-end services. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely part of the week while collaborating in person with the development team on designated days. You'll play a key part in delivering innovative features that improve customer experience and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
- Build and optimize scalable back-end services and APIs using languages like Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Integrate with third-party services, including payment gateways and shipping providers, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Write efficient database queries and manage data persistence using SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional web applications.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with backend languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java) and associated frameworks (e.g., Express, Django, Spring Boot).
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
