We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Full StackDeveloper to join our team. In this ole, you will lead the transitionof our existing ERP modules from Core PHP to Laravel and Node.js. Youwill be responsible for both the technical vision and the hands-ondevelopment, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration while mentoringjunior developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

Lead Migration

  • The Team Lead must first perform a comprehensive audit of theexisting Core PHP system. This involves understanding itsarchitecture, data models, and business logic. The next step is tostrategically plan the migration, which may involve a phasedapproach.Instead of a big switchover, the Team Lead must migrate onemodule at a time. The new system will be built using Laravel for theback- end(handling database interactions, business logic, and APIs)and Node.js for the front- end(creating a responsive user interfacethat interacts with the Laravel back - end via APIs). He or She willalso be responsible for ensuring data integrity throughout thisprocess.

Designing, Developing and Maintaining Applications:

  • This responsibility covers the full software development lifecycle. The Team Lead will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, andwell-documented code for both the front-end and back-end. At theback-end, they'll use Laravel's features like Eloquent ORM fordatabase queries and the built-in authentication system. On thefront-end, they'll use Node.js and a modern framework (like React orVue.js) to build a scalable and easy-to-use interface. The emphasishere is on robust, scalable, and secure. This means buildingapplications that can handle increased user load, are easilymaintainable, and are protected from common security threats.

Architect and Implement:

  • The Team Lead will be responsible for designing the structure of newfeatures and modules. This includes creating database schemas, defining API endpoints, and planning the user experience. They mustensure that new features fit seamlessly into the overall ERPsystem's architecture without creating technical debt. The Team Leadwill be creating the blueprints before the developers startbuilding.

Manage and mentor:

  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing technicalguidance, code reviews, and support. This involves delegating tasksto team members based on their skills and experience. It alsoincludes conducting regular code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices. A key part ofmentoring is providing constructive feedback and helping teammembers grow their skills, turning a group of individual developersinto a cohesive and high performing team.

Collaborating with Stakeholders:

  • The Team Lead serves as a crucial link between the technical teamand the rest of the company (e.g., finance, HR, sales). They must beable to translate business requirements into technicalspecifications. For example, when a manager says, we need a reporton monthly sales, the Team Lead must translate that into a technicalplan for a new database query, an API endpoint, and a front-endcomponent. This requires strong communication and a deepunderstanding of the business domain.

Ensuring Code Quality:

  • Code quality is paramount for a long-term project like an ERPsystem. The Team Lead must establish and enforce coding standardsand best practices. A critical part of this is implementing atesting strategy. This includes unit tests (testing individualfunctions), integration tests (testing how different parts of thesystem work together), and end-to-end tests (simulating a user'sworkflow). This proactive approach helps catch bugs early andensures the system remains stable as it evolves

Troubleshooting and Resolving Issues:

  • Legacy systems often have hidden complexities and performanceissues. The Team Lead must be proficient in identifying andresolving these problems. This could involve debugging an obscureerror in the Core PHP code, optimizing a slow database query inLaravel, or fixing a front-end rendering issue. The ability toquickly and effectively troubleshoot is crucial to minimize downtimeand keep business operations running smoothly.
