Full Stack Developer

Salary: $120k - $140k + Kiwisaver + free parking

At DebtManagers, technology is how we help our people work smarter. We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to build the digital tools that make a real difference to how our business runs, spanning software development, automation and machine learning.

You’ll work directly with teams across the business, getting to know how they work and where they get stuck, then designing, building and improving the automation and integrations that solve those problems. Everything you deliver will follow our Technology Strategy, with the ability to scale as demand grows.

Working alongside our Full Stack Development Lead, you’ll help maintain, support and improve the platform and its integration with our legacy collections system, giving us the development resilience to keep this critical tool running smoothly.

About the role

Join a software development team delivering digital solutions for a Trans-Tasman business. Based on-site in the Auckland office, you will contribute across the full technology stack, using modern development practices and Azure capabilities to build, improve and support business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain digital software solutions.

• Work across the full stack using C#, Kotlin or TypeScript with React.

• Design efficient SQL queries and apply sound database indexing practices.

• Contribute to Azure infrastructure and modern information systems capabilities.

• Manage application changes through git branching, pull requests and code reviews.

• Use modern AI development tools responsibly, reviewing, testing and taking ownership of the code delivered.

• Contribute to application deployment, automation and integration with business systems.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated commercial experience (3 years+) in software development, specifically digital development.

• Strong working knowledge of at least one of C#, Kotlin or TypeScript with React, together with a willingness to work across the full stack.

• Solid SQL skills, including query design and an understanding of indexing.

• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure and modern information systems capabilities.

• Experience in IT application change, including git branching, pull requests and code review conventions.

• A degree in software engineering, computer science or IT, or equivalent practical experience.

• Desirable experience includes .NET, React, Android with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, Azure deployment and operations, infrastructure as code with Bicep, browser automation such as Playwright.

• A genuine interest in how a real business operates.
