Full Stack Developer Intern

About the role

Alberto Shoes Corporation is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer Intern to join our dynamic Information and Communication Technology department. This is an exciting full-time internship opportunity based in Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, where you will work on real-world projects and contribute to the development of web applications that support our growing business. As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across both front-end and back-end technologies, working alongside experienced developers to build scalable and user-friendly solutions. This role is essential for developing your technical skills and understanding how technology drives innovation within a progressive footwear company.

Key responsibilities
• Assist in building and maintaining features for our in-house systems.

• Support development and testing of our mobile app, including offline-related functionality.

• Help build, test, and document REST API integrations between our web platform, mobile app, and backend services.

• Assist with data entry, data cleanup, and basic data structure work in our Firestore/cloud database.

• Help identify, reproduce, and fix bugs under the guidance of our Full Stack Developer.

• Support smaller, well-scoped development tasks and improvements assigned by the Full Stack Developer or Project Manager.

• Learn and follow our existing coding standards, tools (VS Code, GitHub Copilot), and workflows.

• Write basic documentation for the features or fixes you work on.

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) and an interest in mobile development.

• Exposure to React or similar front-end frameworks through coursework or personal projects.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and how front-end and back-end systems communicate.

• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.

• Good communication skills and comfort asking questions and working closely with a mentor.

• Eagerness to work on real, live systems and take feedback constructively.

• Familiarity with Firestore, NoSQL databases, or retail/inventory systems is a plus but not required.
