Salary: RM 1,000 – RM 1,200 per month

Purpose of Role

To support the development and maintenance of web applications that power company’s e-commerce and business operations. The Full Stack Developer Intern will work closely with the IT team on frontend and backend development, testing and troubleshooting, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to reliable, user-friendly digital solutions.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain web application features across both frontend and backend

• Build responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Vue.js

• Develop RESTful APIs and backend logic using PHP 8

• Design database tables, write and optimise SQL queries in MySQL

• Assist in building real-time or background services using Node.js (e.g. WebSocket, queue workers)

• Integrate third-party APIs and services (payment gateways, messaging, etc.)

• Debug, test and fix issues reported by users or the QA process

• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews

• Write clear technical documentation for the features you build

• Collaborate with designers, senior developers and stakeholders to deliver features on time

Qualification Required

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Basic knowledge of at least one backend language (PHP preferred) and relational databases (MySQL preferred)

• Understanding of how the web works: HTTP, request/response, client vs server

• Familiar with Git and basic command-line usage

• Able to read error messages, search for solutions and debug independently before asking

• Good communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an advantage

• Eager to learn, takes ownership, and not afraid to ask questions

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vue.js (Vue 3 / Composition API) or any modern frontend framework

• Experience with Node.js and modern web frameworks such as Hono, or WebSocket-based real-time services

• Familiarity with alternative JavaScript runtimes (Bun, Deno) is a plus

• Experience with a PHP framework (e.g. Laravel) or Composer

• Basic knowledge of Linux, Nginx/Apache or Docker

• Personal projects, GitHub portfolio or hackathon experience (please include links)

• Familiarity with AI coding tools and using them responsibly
