Full Stack Developer
About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team in Metro Manila. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a strategic role where you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing both front-end and back-end systems that power our digital solutions. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality applications that meet business objectives and user expectations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain full stack web applications, including front-end user interfaces and back-end server logic
Design and implement robust application programming interfaces (APIs) and database solutions
Collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to translate requirements into technical specifications and functional code
Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistency
Participate in troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical issues in production and development environments
Contribute to the optimisation of application performance, scalability and security
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to the development process
Participate in sprint planning, estimation and retrospectives as part of an agile development team
What we're looking for
3+ years of professional experience in full stack web development or related software engineering roles
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks (for example, React, Vue or Angular)
Solid understanding of back-end development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP or similar
Experience working with relational databases (such as PostgreSQL or MySQL) and understanding of database design principles
Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows
Knowledge of RESTful API design and development practices
Understanding of web security principles and best practices for secure coding
Experience with cloud platforms or containerisation technologies (such as Docker or Kubernetes) is preferred
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
