Junior Full Stack Developer (Java)

About the role:

We are looking for 2 Junior Full Stack Developers to join a technology team supporting a leading Australian bank.

This is an excellent opportunity for software developers with approximately 2 years of professional experience who are looking to further develop their expertise in full-stack development, enterprise Java, cloud technologies, modern UI frameworks, RESTful APIs, microservices, and continuous delivery.

We also value candidates who have experience using AI tools—whether in a corporate, business, academic, or personal capacity. Practical experience with AI-powered productivity tools, coding assistants, automation, generative AI, or Prompt Engineering is highly preferred. You don't need to be an AI specialist; we're particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to explore how AI can improve software development and everyday productivity.

You will work in a collaborative and engineering-focused environment, contributing to the design, development, testing, and delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable applications within the banking and financial services industry.

This role is ideal for a developer who is eager to learn and wants to gain valuable experience working with modern software engineering practices

Job description:

• 2 years of experience in software developmentwith solid skills in engineering full stack solutions
• Experience in Core and Enterprise JAVA (1.8 preferred),RDBMS, Spring frameworks, SQL,JPA and Hibernate
• Experience inCloud technologies (AWS, OpenStack, etc.) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliveryenvironment and platforms
• Knowledge of good database design and optimised queries, RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture and basic UNIX scripting
• Exposure to modernUI frameworks (React/Angular)
• Interest or experience in Python, or AI tools and Prompt Engineering
• Experience with any of the following is an advantage: Testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium and JMeterWorking in an Agile or SAFe Agile development environment

Work arrangement:

• Office Location: Makati City
• RTO Requirement: 3 days per week
• Employment: Full-Time
