Full Stack Developer (Java/ Javascript)
Summary
A full stack developer role in Singapore with a product-focused engineering team at a technology and communications organisation. Day to day involves building scalable Java/Spring Boot backend services, APIs and microservices, plus web front-ends with JavaScript frameworks, using cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka and CI/CD.
Our client is a leading technology and communications organisation focused on developing innovative digital, connectivity and next-generation technology solutions. We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join a product-focused engineering team. You will be involved in designing and developing scalable applications and services, working across both backend and frontend technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance scalable software applications and backend services
- Design and build APIs and modular microservices
- Develop web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Work on system design, performance and reliability improvements
- Integrate applications with internal and external systems
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices
- Work with cloud and containerized environments
- Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams on new solutions
Requirements
- Strong experience in Java (Java 17 or higher) and Spring Boot
- Front end experience in HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
- Experience with microservices and REST APIs
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies
- Experience with Mongo DB/ Elasticsearch/ Cassandra and SQL databases
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
- Understanding of scalable, distributed application architecture
- Experience developing enterprise-level software products
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
