Full-Stack Developer & Potential CTO/Co-Founder (Rivlet)

In a world of endless options, knowing what's actually worth buying has become increasingly difficult. Rivlet is an early-stage startup project from KTH Innovation helping people make confident product choices based on real recommendations from people they trust. We are now looking for a Full-Stack Developer who wants to help build the first commercial version of the platform, with the opportunity to become a Co-founder and future CTO. You will work closely with the founders and directly influence the direction of the company by turning ideas into solutions.

WHAT WE DO

Rivlet is building a mobile platform for product discovery and recommendations powered by verified purchase data, helping users to find good products by seeing what people in their network genuinely buy and like.

By securely connecting to users’ bank transactions, Rivlet enables people to automatically track the products they actually buy and turn those purchases into trusted recommendations, reviews, and insights shared within their community. The platform combines purchase tracking, social sharing, and community-driven product discovery in one place, creating a new, more reliable way to decide what is worth buying.

Importantly, Rivlet is not here to make people consume more. It is here to help people consume better; to make more conscious, informed choices based on trust, not on noise.

No sponsorships, no inflated influence, just real data from people you trust. A shift from influencer-driven marketing to data-driven community-based trust.

Rivlet connects to users’ bank transactions and enables them to:

Our first product launch focuses on a consumer-facing mobile app where users can connect their transactions, build a trusted network, and discover products through verified recommendations, creating the foundation for future data and insight services.

Rivlet is now entering the next phase: building the first commercial beta version and validating the platform together with early users. The work is led by the founders together with support from KTH Innovation. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer who wants to join early and build the first commercial version of Rivlet, with the potential to become a Co‑founder/CTO. You will help architect the technical foundation for a trust-based consumer platform involving transaction integrations, recommendation systems, user privacy, and community-driven product discovery.

Focus for the coming period:

• Define backend structure and data model
• Continue building a beta version of the app, followed by a commercial version
• Contribute to product and technical decisions
• Ensure strong data and cyber security standards
• Explore and implement integration with bank transaction data

The role involves a high level of ownership and influence over both product and technology. You will be exposed to a broad range of interesting challenges and will get the chance to gradually grow into the role and its responsibilities.

Note:
This is an early-stage venture and we currently do not offer salary. Compensation is based on equity and long-term value creation. We are flexible regarding setup and availability initially, but we are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company over time and take an active role in shaping the venture.

Rivlet is built in Lovable, on a fully TypeScript stack: React + Tailwind CSS on the frontend, and PostgreSQL (SQL + Row-Level Security) with TypeScript edge functions on Deno on the backend. We are seeking a developer who is comfortable working across all of it.

Required:

• Experience in relevant programming (app or web development), backend development and data handling
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements within software and data
• Interest in building products and systems
• Ability to work independently
• Motivation to join and build an early-stage startup
