Full Stack Developer PZA

The FOCUS platform supports administrative and operational processing of police case handling (assignments, file building, follow-up, reporting, and integrations with internal and external systems).
The system is business-critical and developed according to modern engineering principles within an Agile setup.
The client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong ownership mindset — someone who safeguards quality, architectural consistency, and technical maturity within the team.

Requirements

  • Develop backend services using Node.js (TypeScript-first approach).
  • Build performant and maintainable frontends in React.
  • Work with PostgreSQL in production environments.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions focusing on scalability and security.
  • Implement test automation and safeguard code quality.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Contribute to improvement of ways-of-working.
  • Coach and guide fellow developers.
  • Take ownership of technical standards and development practices within the platform.

Must Have
  • Minimum 5 years experience in development of web-based applications.
  • Strong backend development experience with Node.js.
  • Experience with TypeScript and JavaScript in production environments.
  • Strong frontend experience with React.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
  • Dutch language proficiency – CEFR C2.
  • Willingness to sign NDA and IT Code of Conduct.
Should Have
  • Experience leading or coaching development teams.
  • Strong coding, testing and debugging capabilities.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Experience with Docker and containerisation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
  • Experience taking a leading role in Agile development environments.
