Description
Role Overview
The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, test and support modern cloud-native applications across front-end, back-end, integration and infrastructure layers. The role requires strong experience in AWS services, microservices, API development, event-driven architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Full Stack Developer will:

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop and support cloud-native backend services and microservices.
• Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications.
• Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration solutions using API and event-driven patterns.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.
• Design and implement scalable relational and NoSQL data solutions.
• Develop secure, resilient and maintainable AWS-based solutions.
• Implement validation, exception handling, audit logging, monitoring and observability capabilities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, quality assurance and security practices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
• Work independently whilst collaborating effectively with technical leads, architects and delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience
Front-End

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
• Strong experience in Modern CSS/Component libraries.
• Experience implementing complex business workflow in role based user interfaces.
• Experience with modern UI component libraries and responsive design principles.

Backend & APIs

• Strong experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs in AWS cloud environment.
• Experience with OpenAPI and contract-first development.
• Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT-based authentication.
• Experience developing backend services using Python.

AWS Cloud
Strong hands-on experience with:

• AWS Lambda
• Amazon API Gateway
• Amazon EventBridge
• Amazon SQS
• Amazon SNS
• Amazon S3
• Amazon DynamoDB
• Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL (RDS)
• AWS IAM
• AWS Secrets Manager
• AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store
• Amazon CloudWatch

Experience with:

• Serverless architectures
• Event-driven solutions
• AWS networking, VPCs and private API integrations
• Secure service-to-service communication

DevOps & Engineering

• Experience with AWS CDK Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Strong Git, testing, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience integrating automated testing, security scanning and quality controls into delivery pipelines.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with observability, monitoring, structured logging and distributed tracing.
• Experience designing highly available, scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Experience working in enterprise or government environments.
• AWS Certifications (Developer or higher).

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years software development experience.
• Minimum 2+ years AWS cloud development experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end solutions across front-end, back-end, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and operational support.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
