Sr. Full Stack Developer

Length: 6-month contract
Pay: $64/hr - $69/hr (DOE) About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. This role will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the full technology stack. The ideal candidate has strong backend expertise in Python or Java, experience building modern frontend applications with React, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Experience with Elasticsearch is highly desirable. Familiarity with LangChain, LLMs, RAG, and vector embeddings is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.
• Build robust backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django) or Java (Spring Boot).
• Develop responsive, reusable frontend components using React.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of:
  • REST APIs
  • Microservices
  • Authentication and authorization
  • API security
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience building modern frontend applications using React.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including:
  • Index design
  • Query DSL
  • Aggregations
  • Relevance tuning
  • Performance optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Experience with Generative AI technologies, including:
