Description

About us

OneReg sits at the cutting edge of aviation and SaaS, helping shape the future of aviation compliance. Our platform brings together real-time oversight, unified information management and smarter workflows, helping aviation organisations move away from manual, complex processes and into a more connected, configurable SaaS product world.
We’re growing fast and scaling globally, and adding developers into our UK office. This is a chance to be one of the early engineers on the ground as we build out our presence in the region.

About the role

You’ll be one of the first developers in our new Middlesbrough office, working closely with our wider engineering, QA and product teams across New Zealand, Australia, Dubai and the EU. It’s a full-stack role building features across our Python/Django platform, and you’ll also work directly with customers, understanding their problems, helping solve technical issues, and making sure what we build actually works for them.
Because you’ll be part of a global team, expect some early mornings or evenings to overlap with other regions, and a share of an on-call roster. As an early hire in a new office, you’ll have a real hand in shaping how the UK team works.

What you’ll do

  • Build and ship full-stack features across our core Python/Django platform.
  • Work directly with customers on technical questions and issues — understanding their needs and helping them get value from OneReg.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, and take part in an on-call roster shared across the team.
  • Design and maintain integrations and APIs between OneReg and the systems our customers use.
  • Write clean, well-tested code and take part in code review.
  • Help establish good engineering practices in the new UK office as we grow.

What you’ll bring

We don’t expect you to tick every box, but you should recognise yourself in most of these.

  • 4+ years’ commercial experience as a full-stack developer (high-mid to senior level).
  • Strong with Python and Django, and comfortable across the full stack including front-end work.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs and integrations.
  • A good grasp of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
  • Hands-on experience investigating and resolving production issues in a live environment, and comfortable being part of an on-call roster.
  • Strong customer-facing skills — or a clear ability and willingness to develop them. You can talk to customers directly and translate their problems into solutions.
  • Happy working across time zones, including some early mornings or evenings to connect with international teams.
  • Experience in a SaaS or multi-tenant environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, and the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a customer-facing or technical roles earlier in your career.
  • Experience helping stand up a new team or office.
  • Aviation, regulated industries, or other safety- or compliance-critical environments.

About you

You’re practical and delivery-focused, and you enjoy the variety of a full-stack role. You’re comfortable talking to customers and genuinely care about solving their problems, not just shipping code. You’re self-directed and happy with the ambiguity of an early-stage office, and you work well with people across different locations and time zones.
