Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a talented and proactive Full Stack Developer to join the engineering team at one of Canada’s Top 5 Banks. In this role, you will help modernize enterprise banking platforms and deliver resilient, scalable, customer-facing and internal digital solutions.

Working in a collaborative, agile environment, you will bridge modern frontend frameworks with robust cloud architectures, ensuring our applications meet strict standards for performance, security, and digital accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain highly responsive web applications using React, Angular, and TypeScript.
• API & Backend Integration: Design, implement, and integrate robust RESTful APIs and microservices to support high-throughput, low-latency banking workflows.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Containers: Deploy, configure, and manage containerized workloads across AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability.
• CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Implement, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD deployment pipelines, automated testing, and release management workflows.
• Observability & Production Support: Establish proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; participate in operational troubleshooting, incident triage, and root-cause analysis for production environments.
• Governance & Best Practices: Enforce and champion secure coding guidelines (OWASP), web accessibility compliance (WCAG/AODA), code reviews, and enterprise engineering standards.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

• Frontend Proficiency: Demonstrated, hands‑on experience building complex, state‑driven interfaces using TypeScript, React, and Angular.
• Cloud & Container Services: Solid hands‑on experience with core AWS offerings, including:
• ECS & ECR (containerization and container orchestration)
• EC2 & S3 (compute and object storage)
• Lambda (serverless functions and event‑driven patterns)
• CloudWatch (application logging, metrics, and alerts)
• Architecture & APIs: Proven track record with REST API design and integration, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• DevOps & Observability: Practical background with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline), cloud observability, performance profiling, and production troubleshooting.
• Security & Accessibility: Strong knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), data protection practices in enterprise/regulated environments, and digital accessibility principles (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or large‑scale enterprise environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
