About the company

Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed AI startup building a personal shopping agent that understands users’ preferences, helps them discover relevant products, and supports them in taking action. The team brings together AI agents, personalisation, and commerce to build a service that becomes more useful through ongoing interactions and real customer outcomes.

They are hiring in Singapore, with an opportunity for early team members to shape the product and its technical foundations.

The opportunity

You will turn AI capabilities into a consumer product people can use in everyday life. Working across TypeScript and Python, you will build complete experiences that connect conversations, user context, recommendations, and actions.

The role combines full-stack engineering with product judgment. You will help decide how the experience should work, ship it, and improve it based on real use.

What you’ll do

• Build end-to-end product journeys across frontend interfaces, backend services, and data.
• Create experiences that help users understand recommendations, give permissions, and follow the progress of agent actions.
• Develop APIs, SDKs, and internal interfaces for creating, running, and inspecting agent workflows.
• Integrate external services and browser-based workflows, with clear feedback and recovery when actions fail.
• Work with infrastructure engineers and researchers to bring memory, personalisation, and agent capabilities into the product.
• Investigate user-facing problems and iterate on usability, performance, and reliability.

What you’ll bring

• Experience shipping and maintaining complete products across frontend and backend.
• Strong TypeScript skills and proficiency in Python.
• Practical experience with APIs, databases, and external service integrations.
• Good product judgment and attention to how interfaces behave when systems are slow, uncertain, or unsuccessful.
• The ability to turn an ambiguous idea into a working product and make clear technical trade-offs.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work across the stack.
