Full Stack Engineer
Summary
Full Stack Engineer acting as the lead authority on full-stack architecture and application modernization in a TS-cleared environment. The role blends hands-on development of secure, scalable web apps (Vue.js, Flask, Elixir/Phoenix) with ETL and data pipeline work (Python, Kafka, NiFi, Postgres) on AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.

Target Salary Range*: $160,000 - $200,000

Position Overview
Serve as the principal authority for full-stack architecture, application modernization, secure development practices, and enterprise technology integration.
Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications across frontend and backend technologies. Combine strategic technical leadership with hands-on development to ensure applications are secure, high-performing, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards, zero-trust principles, and complex cross-enclave requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Application Modernization
- Lead full-stack architecture and application modernization.
- Guide enterprise technology integration.
- Align applications with enterprise architecture standards, zero-trust principles, and cross-enclave requirements.
Application Development and Optimization
- Lead the design and development of scalable web applications across frontend and backend technologies.
- Perform hands-on development.
- Optimize application performance and interoperability.
Secure Development and Technical Leadership
- Guide secure development practices.
- Lead technical initiatives and establish development standards across teams.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree. [Required]
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience. [Required]
Skills
- Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend technologies, APIs, and relational and non-relational databases. [Required]
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system integration, and scalable application design. [Required]
- Experience with secure development practices, DevSecOps methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. [Required]
- Expertise in database design, performance optimization, and application troubleshooting. [Required]
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and establish development standards across teams. [Required]
Data Pipeline and Infrastructure Requirements
- In-house custom-developed data pipeline.
- Kubernetes and Terraform.
- GitLab CI/CD and JFrog Artifactory.
- AWS Cloud Services.
UI Requirements
- Vue.js, Flask, and Elixir.
- Phoenix LiveView and DaisyUI.
ETL Requirements
- Python, Cribl, and Apache NiFi.
- Postgres.
- Apache Kafka and Splunk.
- Custom GOTS applications.
- Complex data parsing and streamlined ingestion.
- Provenance and end-to-end data lineage tracking.
- Schema-aligned ingestion and normalization of diverse structured and unstructured data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and microservices platforms.
- Experience addressing cross-domain or cross-enclave interoperability challenges.
- Expertise in zero-trust architectures and secure enterprise application development.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, software architecture, cybersecurity, or Agile development.
