Ascendion is hiring a Full Stack Engineer in Makati, Philippines to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure, including REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server database work, and CI/CD/DevOps practices, plus legacy system modernization.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Build scalable and cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in application re-engineering and modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Develop and optimize database objects, queries, stored procedures, and integrations using SQL Server.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities.
- Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD implementation for streamlined software delivery.
Qualifications:
- Experience with application modernization, legacy system transformation, and re-engineering programs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Proficiency in source code management tools such as Git.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in financial services or enterprise environments.
