Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices for a prime brokerage platform, working with Angular frontends and cloud-native tooling.
Job Overview
- Role: Full-Stack Developer (6–10 years of experience)
- Location: Hong Kong
- Split: 80% hands on development, 20% support
Core Technical Skills
- Backend: Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST microservices, and system architecture design.
- Frontend: Angular is ideal; React is acceptable.
- Data & Cloud: SQL optimization, containers, OpenShift, and Git.
- Engineering: OO design, TDD, and refactoring complex codebases.
Domain & Business Skills
- Prime Brokerage: Direct experience in Prime Financing / SBL is highly preferred.
- Asset Classes: Strong knowledge of Equities or Fixed Income trading workflows.
- Soft Skills: Top-tier communication for high-level interaction with traders under pressure.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- Event-Driven: Messaging patterns using Kafka or Solace.
- Optimization: Asset allocation, inventory, or funding automation models.
