Full Stack Engineer (Backend)

Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Backend) to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
• Position: Full Stack Engineer (Backend-focused)
• Location: Paya Lebar
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
• Salary Package: Up to $6,900 + Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for a cloud-based digital platform.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, business logic, and workflow-driven applications.
• Design and optimise relational databases to ensure performance and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Support application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, database migrations, and cloud-based environments.
• Implement secure coding practices and resolve security findings to ensure production readiness.
• Perform unit, API, and integration testing to maintain application quality.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js or NestJS.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, relational database design, and query optimisation.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with authentication and authorisation concepts (e.g. OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).
• Exposure to AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git.
• Good understanding of secure coding practices, application security, and software testing.
