Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Builds full-stack features in TypeScript/React and scales backend systems handling terabytes of data and millions of LLM calls per month for a Munich-based AI platform.

About the Role

Join a small, product-focused team at a bootstrapped AI platform and consulting studio based in Munich, Germany. You'll work on the core platform that enables thousands of users to interact with AI every day — building high-quality full-stack features, scalable backend systems, and the infrastructure that powers massive LLM workloads, large-scale data synchronisation, and rapid custom integrations. This is a hybrid role based in Munich.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship high-quality full-stack features using TypeScript and React, with a strong focus on seamless user experience.

  • Design and implement robust backend systems capable of handling terabytes of client data and millions of API requests.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of features — from concept and architecture through deployment to ongoing operation, with a focus on reliability and security.

  • Debug production incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-quality codebase through thorough, constructive code reviews.

  • Synchronise and index large client datasets while managing fine-grained permissions.

  • Operate and optimise systems that process millions of LLM calls per month at high reliability.

  • Architect environments that spawn thousands of secure code sandboxes per day.

  • Build foundational infrastructure to help the integrations team onboard new systems quickly.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering full-stack features in production.

  • Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.

  • Hands-on experience with Dockerized environments and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment and container orchestration.

  • Proven track record of building production-grade backend services at scale — high data volume, millions of API requests, with reliability and security as first-class concerns.

  • Comfortable owning features end-to-end and debugging complex production issues.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python, tRPC, or similar backend technologies.

  • Experience integrating with GenAI platforms or LLMs.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading code reviews.

  • Background in developer tools or AI-integrated products.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Have a strong product mindset and care deeply about the user experience.

  • Learn quickly and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Take pride in long-term code quality and scalable system design.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • Work on meaningful, technically challenging problems in the AI space.

  • Collaborative, agile team with a flat structure and strong engineering culture.

Please note: visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

This is a hybrid position based in Munich, Germany. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Munich. Remote-only arrangements are not available.
