Full Stack Engineer (Clojure/ClojureScript) at BairesDev
In this role, you'll take full ownership of features across the stack for a retail AI outfitting platform, spanning database design, backend API development, and the frontend interfaces colleagues rely on daily. Joining a team of experienced Clojure engineers, you'll build services that connect with LLM APIs, coordinate multi-step AI workflows, and support semantic search across large-scale product catalogs. What You'll Do:
- Take end-to-end ownership of features spanning database schema, backend logic, and frontend interfaces.
- Develop backend services connecting to LLM APIs to power AI-driven functionality.
- Coordinate multi-step AI workflows using orchestration tooling.
- Support retrieval and search pipelines enabling semantic search across the product catalog.
- Make independent architectural and technical decisions within a fast-paced, ownership-driven team.
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Solid command of Clojure.
- Practical experience with ClojureScript.
- Background in PostgreSQL and SQL schema design.
- Experience working with LLM APIs in production settings, primarily calling and consuming them.
- Familiarity with REST API design principles.
- Comfort within the functional programming ecosystem, including tools like shadow-cljs, re-frame, and reagent.
- Exposure to prompt engineering or working with non-deterministic model outputs.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
