Full Stack Engineer
Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 8,000 per month
About the role
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer experienced in Python and Vue.js to develop, maintain and scale our AI-powered SaaS platform. You'll collaborate with our China-based development team, gradually take ownership of the platform and have the opportunity to help build our local engineering team. This is a hands-on role with a potential pathway into technical leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Full Stack Development: Build, maintain and improve frontend, backend, APIs and dashboards.
- AI Integration: Integrate AI models, develop automation workflows and optimise API performance and costs.
- Product Development: Develop new features, improve user experience and turn business requirements into technical solutions.
- System Maintenance: Troubleshoot issues, manage deployments and ensure platform security, stability and scalability.
- Technical Ownership: Work with our China development team, understand the existing architecture and gradually assume greater responsibility for the platform.
- Team Growth: Contribute to technical decisions and eventually help establish our Malaysian engineering team.
About you
- 4+ years of full stack development experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and Vue.js 3.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker and cloud deployment.
- Strong debugging and independent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and maintain an existing codebase.
- Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek).
- Familiarity with AI agents, RAG and workflow automation.
- Experience building SaaS platforms.
