Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Builds scalable web apps and backend services for a climate-focused food-forecasting platform using modern cloud tools and full-stack development.

Our client is a well-capitalised, high-growth technology company building an advanced forecasting platform for the food processing sector.

This position is a full time, IN-OFFICE position in Dublin city centre.

This is an opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing features that have a direct impact on customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Build modern web applications and contribute across the full technology stack.
  • Develop and improve cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and engineering tooling.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Build reliable, secure, and maintainable applications capable of supporting a growing customer base.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and system reliability.
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions and continuously improve engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment activities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, and modern web application architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Azure, alongside relational databases and scalable application design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and version control within production environments.
  • Ability to design, build, deploy, and support reliable software solutions, balancing technical quality with business priorities.
  • Experience contributing across both frontend and backend technologies, with a willingness to work wherever adds the greatest value.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside cross-functional engineering, product, or data teams.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, observability, authentication, MLOps, or modern software engineering practices would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or product-focused technology environment is advantageous, but not essential.
