Overview
You join Citi Assist on a ground-floor GenAI initiative to build foundational, scalable AI-enabled workplace tools for Citi employees. You will own end-to-end data-driven features, from evaluation dashboards to backend pipelines, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve AI quality, safety, and user feedback. This role blends data discipline with full-stack delivery to drive measurable impact at scale. You will influence technical direction and mentoring as part of a mission-driven, collaborative engineering culture.

- Design and implement testing, evaluation, and feedback systems for the AI assistant
- Build data pipelines and analytics infrastructure to surface insights and power testing
- Develop APIs and frontend components to support evaluation and user feedback
- Own features end to end from conception to production with autonomy
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in data practices
- Contribute to architectural decisions and establish best practices for data handling
- Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews to raise team bar
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate feedback into improvements
- Build dashboards and visualizations to analyse interactions and performance
- Production-grade full-stack experience across backend and frontend
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript; Go or Java is a plus
- Deep experience with data pipelines, analytics, or data-driven product development
- Experience building UIs with React, Vue, or Angular
- Strong SQL and Postgres experience
- Backend services and APIs handling data at scale
- Containerised/cloud experience (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
- CI/CD, testing frameworks, and automation familiarity
