Summary

Senior full-stack developer at Impro.AI building an AI-powered platform end-to-end — UI, backend, integrations, architecture, and production support — using TypeScript, React, Node.js, Azure, serverless architecture, and AI/LLM features. Mostly remote with occasional office presence in Toronto.

We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer with architectural ambition, who likes building real things, solving messy problems, and owning code end-to-end.

This is not a “sit in meetings and move tickets around” role. We’re a small team, so everyone touches real product, real architecture, and real production issues.

What you'll work on

We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer with architectural ambition, who likes building real things, solving messy problems, and owning code end-to-end.

You’ll help build and improve our platform using:

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Node.js
  • Azure
  • Serverless architecture
  • AI/LLM-based product features

You’ll work across the stack, from UI changes to backend logic, integrations, architecture decisions, performance, reliability, and production support.

What we’re looking for

On the technical level, you:

  • Have strong full-stack development experience
  • Can own features from idea to production
  • Can write clean, practical, maintainable code
  • Understand architecture, but don't over-engineer everything
  • Enjoy AI and want to build real AI-powered product features
  • Can work independently without needing every tiny detail spelled out
  • Are comfortable challenging ideas and being challenged back
  • Like mentoring and being mentored
  • Actually love tech and building software

On the personal level, you:

  • Are a down-to-earth person
  • Are tech-savvy
  • Are excited to build things
  • Live and breathe code and technology

What we are NOT looking for

This is probably not the right role if you:

  • Are a pure ticket-taker who doesn't take initiative
  • Need heavy process around every decision
  • Avoid ownership
  • Overthink and turn simple problems into architecture museums
  • Chase “AI” as a buzzword but are not interested in building real product

Work setup

The role is mostly remote, but you should be located in Toronto or the surrounding area because occasional office presence will be needed.

The vibe

  • Small team
  • Real ownership
  • Practical architecture
  • AI-heavy product work without the corporate buzzword nonsense
  • Using AI tools IS A MUST! We can't be an AI company without using AI tools ourselves.

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $110,000–$140,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and fit.

The role also includes:

  • Stock options
  • Benefits
