Full Stack Engineer

Must-have criteria

1. Minimum 5 years of work experience, ideally close to 10 years of technical engineering experience
2. Open to any background, but preferably also from insurance
3. Solid in JAVA and/or cloud environment
4. Trilingual – English and Chinese including both Mandarin and Cantonese
5. Vendor management experience

Good-to-have criteria

1. Claims-related knowledge
2. AI knowledge or project exposure
3. Azure or Ali Cloud
4. Able to work independently with minimal guidance

Position Responsibilities

• - Develop and maintain end-to-end application stack which includes frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure.
• - Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to any new features and systems.
• - Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and follow industry norms.
• - Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• - Apply best practices for system security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and threat mitigation.
• - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry standards.
• - Manage vendor to ensure timely, high-quality and cost-effective deliverables
• - Contribute to Agile planning and delivery of user stories in a SCRUM environment
• - Provide production support during non-office hours as required.

Requirement

• - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• - Proficiency in Angular, Node.js/React, Azure DB, JavaScript, AKS & Azure cloud services
• - Solid experience or technical knowledge of Alibaba cloud, Polar DB, AI technologies are an advantage
• - Experience with DevOps, RESTful API design, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version control.
• - Strong understanding of performance optimization and coding standard
• - Collaborative mindset with ability to coach, mentor and lead teams.
• - Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next.
• - Familiarity with insurance industry and claims systems is a plus.
• - Experience managing sizable projects or programs is preferable
