Role Description This full-time remote Full Stack Software Engineer role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end web application features that power Metfolio’s gold investment platform. Must be using AI coding and software engineering tools as a core part of the workflow. Day-to-day tasks include implementing front-end interfaces, building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating third-party services, and ensuring responsive, accessible user experiences. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, write clean and testable code, and participate in code reviews. Additional responsibilities include monitoring application performance, addressing production issues, improving security and reliability, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Full-Stack Development and Software Development for modern web applications
• Hands-on experience with Front-End Development, including HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Solid skills in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with authentication, authorization, and data protection
• Experience with modern frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, Node.js, or similar)
• Comfort with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and work with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• High proficiency in AI coding tools such as Cursor Claude and Codex
• Prior experience in fintech, investment platforms, or high-security systems is a plus
