Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to build and integrate internal applications supporting large-scale infrastructure and automation initiatives. You will work across different projects, understand business problems, design technical solutions, and take ownership of development from architecture through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable internal applications and automation solutions.
• Build backend services primarily using Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Develop and integrate APIs and internal systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design clean, scalable architectures with strong consideration for performance and reliability.
• Own projects independently from technical design through development and delivery.
• Conduct code reviews, testing and performance optimisation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, particularly in backend development.
• Strong expertise in Python, Java, Kotlin or another OOP-based backend language. Python is preferred.
• Strong experience building new applications and systems rather than primarily working on maintenance or BAU support.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, system design and scalable architecture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience within Big Tech, banking or consulting environments is preferred.
• Nice to Have
• ReactJS, NextJS or TypeScript.
• GraphQL, Redis or RDBMS.
• Robotics or automation software experience.
• Data analytics or tracking experience.
• Experience working on infrastructure or network automation.

This is an initial 12-months contract role.
