Full Stack Engineer
Summary
Builds and scales a core AI compliance platform (Nakhoda AI) using TypeScript/React/Node.js and Python, designing autonomous AI agents while ensuring system reliability and PostgreSQL/API performance for clients across Malaysia, ASEAN, and beyond.
At OTONOCO AI, we're scaling Nakhoda AI beyond a single market. We have real clients live today, more in the pipeline, and a mandate to grow across Malaysia, ASEAN, and the Greater Bay Area — and beyond.
We are not looking for someone to close tickets. We're hiring a builder — someone who can take a complex, real-world compliance problem, architect a scalable solution, and write the code to ship it, from the database to the UI.
You will work directly on our core AI product — the platform already handling compliance decisions for paying clients, and built to serve organizations across multiple markets and regulatory regimes.

What You’ll Do
- Architect and ship full-stack features in TypeScript, React, and Node.js — on a product already serving paying clients.
- Design autonomous AI agents in Python — the core of our roadmap.
- Own system reliability and scalability as we expand across markets.
- Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and high-traffic APIs.

- Strong TypeScript/React/Node.js, comfortable in Python.
- Solid PostgreSQL and cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Curiosity for AI/ML and agentic workflows.
