Full-Stack Engineer (Python & TypeScript)
Summary
A junior-to-mid remote engineer builds features end-to-end for a birthday messaging SaaS: TypeScript frontend (React/Next.js), Python backend APIs (FastAPI/Django/Flask), relational databases, third-party integrations, testing, and production support.
About the Role We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to help build and grow a modern SaaS platform. You'll work across the stack — frontend interfaces, backend APIs, databases, and integrations — and be involved from planning through deployment and maintenance.
This role suits someone at the junior-to-mid level. We care more about what you can actually build and how you think through problems than about years of experience.
What You'll Do Build frontend features in TypeScript using a modern framework (React, Next.js, or similar) Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar) Design clean, well-documented API contracts between frontend and backend
Work with relational databases — schema design, queries, migrations, data integrity Implement authentication, authorization, and multi-user account management
Integrate third-party APIs and external services Debug issues across the full stack and write automated tests Participate in code review and technical planning Improve performance, security, and maintainability of existing systems Support deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting Document systems, APIs, and key architectural decisions Translate product requirements into shipped features, working closely with the team
What You Bring Core skills: Solid Python and TypeScript/JavaScript Experience with React, Next.js, or a comparable frontend framework Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or a comparable Python backend framework Comfort with REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and browser-server communication SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) Git and collaborative development workflows
A grasp of testing, debugging, and basic security practices (input validation, permissions, secrets management, secure auth)
